Bella Murphy

​

Bella Murphy was 5 years old when she started dancing. Her 1st & 2nd years were recreation dance classes. Although, her natural ability was there she was just having fun, which allowed her to start showing signs of strength. Her mother and dance instructor noticed a change in her 3rd year. She was asked “What’s changed?” Her reply was “Seeing the passion the Alumni Blazer Dancers have inspires me…”  She was also inspired by her previous dance instructor, saying to her “You have the drive to obtain the Eye of the Tiger.” Since then, dance is a passion that has fueled her to this day, working on continuing that drive and finding her inner Eye of the tiger.

 

Bella is an excellent student, both in dance as well as in her academics. She continues to compete and train throughout the Pacific Northwest, winning scholarships and individual awards. She qualified for the 2021 Dance Awards in Las Vegas and has had several opportunities since then with various professional photographers. Bella has done several exhibitions in her local community at Rolloff Farms, Oregon State University and the Moda Center Portland Trailblazers. She’s training to pursue the dance industry and modeling.

 

In 2021, Bella started competing solo. She was recognized for her athleticism and interpretation of herself. Competing in the solo division has fostered her hunger for advancing, staying strong, perseverance and gaining diversity. Bella continues to gain knowledge in the modeling industry from family, friends and peers.  Their support has helped Bella stay strong with all the challenges that come with being diverse.
